Come worship God together with us!

W O R S H I P   A T   G R A C E

Grace is a family of believers, people of all ages and backgrounds, who have come together to worship
Jesus as the most important person in our lives; to grow in our love for him, our love for each other,

and our love and understanding of his word, the Bible; and to serve him in our church and in our

community. Come and see Grace, discover what a loving church family is like, and find out

what it truly means to be a disciple, a follower of Christ.

JUSTUS, RANDY.jpg

RANDY JUSTUS

Pastor Randy was born and raised in Pekin, and trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of eleven.  He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin.  He has served as a Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and Senior Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, and as a Missionary with Faith Baptist Mission in Tucson, Arizona.  Randy loves to spend time with his wife, his children, and his three grandchildren.  He likes pedaling through central Illinois farm land whenever he gets the opportunity.

THERESA JUSTUS

Theresa was also born and raised in Pekin.  At the age of nine, she came to faith in Christ after watching a movie depicting the crucifixion of Jesus.  She has been a member of Grace since childhood and has faithfully served the Lord in many areas of church ministry.  Along with Randy, she was a Missionary to the Tohono O'odham Indians near Tucson, Arizona.  Theresa has a heart for teaching her Pre-School students and her piano students.  She adores her three grandchildren and loves being with them.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

FOR BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED...

Coming to know Jesus as your Savior...

Grace.  We all need it.  The favor of God; undeserved, unexpected, and freely given in love.  Our lives are lived day by day, by God's grace.  And, it's only by God's grace we are saved.  Would you like to know more?

The first thing you should realize is that God loves you.  John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  He loves you no matter who you are or what you've done.

That's even more surprising when you realize that God makes it clear that every one of us is a sinner.  We've all broken God's laws, disobeyed His commands, and sinned against His holiness.  Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Are you still with me?  Good.  Here's where the bad news gets even worse... but not for long, so hang on all the way through.

Everyone needs to realize that their sin has an exremely high price that must be paid.  God tells us in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."  Wages are what we have earned, what we deserve to be paid.  But, here is where the good news comes in.  The verse ends with these hopeful words, "...but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:8 explains it even more, "But God commendeth [demonstrated] his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."  Jesus is God Himself and he paid the high price for our sin; yours and mine, by taking our place and dying on the cross.  That's love!  That's mercy!  Yes, and that's grace!

That begs the question, "How should I respond?"  By believing.  Believe that Jesus is God; believe that He died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again from the dead three days later; and receive Jesus as your own Savior by trusting only in Him for forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.  Romans 10:13 assures you, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Please contact us if you still have questions about experiencing grace or if we can be of help to you in your new relationship with Christ.
